Here is a collection of some frequently asked questions that my clients have for Life Coaching, Psychotherapy and Couseling online. Select one of the questions below to see the answer.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

A life coach could be considered a professional helping you achieve wellness, that is help you make progress in your life in order to attain greater fulfillment. They achieve that by helping clients improve their relationships, careers, and day-to-day lives.Another job of a life coach is to help people clarify their goals, identify the obstacles holding them back, and finally come up with strategies for overcoming each of the identified obstacle. In order to create succesfull strategies a life coach will target your unique gifts and skills. To achieve long lasting change in ourselves a life coach will help to make the most of your strengths. I belive that each and everyone of us has a lot of power inside he/she just needs the right professional to unhide this power.

Are you considering to make a significan life change? Then you will need the guidance of a life coach to do it right. Are you striving to make a happier, more meaningful life. Then life coaching is the key to wellness!.

To answer that you need to be honest with yourself and think if you had on of the following:
  • Sense of blocked creativity
  • Frequent irritability
  • Inability to break bad habits
  • High levels of stress and/or anxiety
  • Persistent feeling of dissatisfaction at work and/or social life
  • Lack of fulfillment in your social life
Then a Life Coach can and will help you to make the most of your strengths and overcome most of the above problems. If you need the advise of a professional do not hesitate and leave small problems like the above hold you back. Don't forget that a growing number of entrepreneurs, executives and creatives are working with life coaches to attain success in their professional and personal lives.

The truth is that a Life Coach and a Psychotherapist (Clinical Psychologist) might have some overlap in the benefits of working with them but each one of them have distinct roles and serve unique purposes. Only a therapist can focus on treating mental health conditions, healing and helping idividuals work with their issues from the past. A life coach on the other hand may help you deal with certain unresolved issues. A life coach cannot treat addiction, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, or other mental health conditions. This is really the job of a therapist. In general:   A psychotherapist:
  • Can treat mental health conditions
  • They are licensed with a degree in psychology
  • Must follow ethical codes
  A life coach:
  • Cannot treat mental health conditions
  • Do not have any academic degree or need formal qualifications
  • Do not need to comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and are not required to follow health privacy laws.
Therefore a therapist would be able to help you with your mental health issues and a life coach will help you eliminate long-held fears & anxieties, find work/life balance, improve communication and social skills, enhance creativity, achieve greater financial security, get more satisfaction from work or life, build stronger relationships with friends and family and finaly drive you to the road of wellness.

Counseling is a confidential process of interaction between the Psychologist and the person who asks for help. Through frequent discussions, you have the opportunity to share your thoughts, fears and emotions with a trained specialist who will guide you to explore ways of understanding and addressing the issues that concern you. Psychotherapy and Counseling will help you gain new perspectives, experience situations and build a sense of mental equilibrium.

Generally, online counseling is appropriate for anyone facing a difficult situation and feel that they need help in order to resolve it. It may also be helpful for people facing:
  •      Stress
  •      Panic attacks
  •      Mild or moderate depression
  •      Social anxiety
  •      Low self-esteem
  •      Problems with relations.
It is not suitable for people who have severe psychopathology or suicidal tendencies. If you have serious thoughts of suicide attempt or if you feel great distress and "can not stand each other" it is advisable: To contact a specific department or mental health which may be in direct contact. Call ASAP 1-800-273-TALK in the U.S. or visit IASP or Suicide.org to find a helpline in your country.

You may have heard that online counseling can not be compared with individual sessions as to its effectiveness. The truth is that everything new causes objections and is questioned. A growing body of research demonstrates number this reticence inaccurate. The online counseling may have similar efficacy to conventional features like show trials. For example, a study published in the Lancet on the online cognitive therapy of depression showed that it was similar to traditional therapy. The online counseling even, in some cases may have benefits than disadvantages: surveys show that many people feel more comfortable with the process so that it is more honest and thus allow the counselor to provide better treatment. Apart from the above, The online counseling has the following advantages: Serves people who:
  •      They live in remote places and therefore does not have access to counselors / psychotherapists.
  •      They have some disabilities such as hearing impairment or limited mobility.
  •      They have small children and can not leave the house.
  •      They have specific phobias (like social phobia or agoraphobia).
  •      They are very busy with their everyday activities and cannot find time within office hours of a psychotherapist.
  •      They are traveling very often and don't stay to a specific place to visit a psychtherapist's office.
